At Senior Connections, we’re committed to supporting older adults and their caregivers by providing programs designed to enhance and improve their quality of life.
Senior Connections, formerly known as the Boone County Council on Aging, is a vital nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting older adults and their families with programs that foster independence, health and joy.
From our home at Senior Connections HQ in Belvidere, we offer welcoming spaces and trusted services—from activities, fellowship, transportation and meals to home care, information and even tax and Medicare support.
We believe aging is not just a phase of life—it’s a chapter full of meaning, purpose and potential. Our team is here to walk alongside you and your loved ones, helping navigate the journey with dignity and care.
Who We Are
Senior Connections meets the needs of older adults in and around Boone County, enriching and improving their quality of life. We provide numerous activities at the Senior Connections HQ in Belvidere, access to many other services through Public Transportation, loving In-Home Care, knowledgeable Information & Assistance, friendly Social Calls and free use of critical mobility equipment. We believe that adults gain value as they age, and that growing older presents an opportunity to thrive, find purpose and make a meaningful impact on our community. Older adults have earned our respect, time and attention – so, we are committed to honoring their contributions and well-being.
At Senior Connections, we secure external funding to offer programs and services at little or no cost to older adults in Boone County. Our funding comes from federal, state and municipal grants, foundation grants, corporate and individual donations, fundraising events and other sources.
