Caregiving often begins gradually. Then, suddenly, there are appointments to manage, decisions to make, forms to understand and responsibilities that can feel difficult to carry alone. Life can become just as confusing for the caregiver as the cared-for.

Other Resources
Lending Closet
The Lending Closet offers a variety of canes, walkers, commodes, shower benches/chairs, wheelchairs, and transfer chairs for free loan. We gladly accept donations of gently used, clean, and well-maintained items to share with others in need. Supplies are available for as long as you need them, at no cost. For donations or to discuss your needs, please call 815-544-9893.
Friendly Call Program
The World Health Organization highlights that social isolation and loneliness are often overlooked but important factors affecting the health of older adults. Our Friendly Call program is here to help by offering free phone calls as often as you’d like, helping you stay connected, build new friendships, and reduce feelings of loneliness.
